Delhi boasts of well-developed infrastructure which is expanding rapidly and covering many parts of NCR as well. Delhi has the highest road density in India of about 2013 km/100 sq. km. It also boasts of having one of the largest bus transport systems in India, with the state-owned Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) operating a fleet of bus services across the city. Important highways passing through Delhi are NH-1 (Delhi-Attari), NH-2 (Delhi-Kolkata Road), NH-8 (Delhi-Mumbai), NH-10 (Delhi-Fazilka) and NH-24 (Delhi-Lucknow). Some of the prominent roads and expressways passing through Delhi are Inner Ring Road, Outer Ring Road, Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway and Delhi-Faridabad Skyway. Besides buses, other forms of public transport in Delhi include autos, taxis and cycle-rickshaws.
Delhi is the headquarters of the Northern Railway with the New Delhi railway station being one of the busiest in India’s vast railway network. Besides, other important railway stations in Delhi include Old Delhi railway station, Hasrat Nizamuddin railway station, Anand Vihar railway terminal and Sarai Rohilla railway station. The Delhi Metro, developed by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) started operations in 2002. It is the 13th largest metro system in the world in terms of length and is the first modern transportation system in India. Besides Delhi, it also services Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad in the NCR. Moreover, the Delhi Suburban Railway and the Ring Railway, running parallel to the Ring Road are alternate rail-based intra-city transport systems in Delhi. The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) operates both domestic and international fights, and is one of the busiest airports in South Asia.
In order to cater to the growing demand for realty and reduce corrupt practices in the city, the government of Delhi and the civic bodies laid down certain policies this year.

Data indicates that the new launched supply in NCR in 2014 was largely dominated by small and mid-sized projects, which comprised almost 80 per cent of the total project supply. Therefore, one can say that the region is expected to witness ample supply of ready-to-move-in supply of small and mid-size projects.
Year 2017 is likely to see ample ready-to-move-in supply in NCR. As per data, about 56 per cent projects will be slated for possession in the said year. City-wise, maximum supply will be in Greater Noida (40 per cent), followed by Gurgaon (32 per cent) and Ghaziabad (14 per cent).
Next in line is 2016 and 2018 that will witness about 17 per cent of ready-to-move-in supply. City-wise, maximum supply will be in Gurgaon (46 per cent), followed by Greater Noida and Noida with 20 per cent each.
As for 2015, Ghaziabad will see maximum supply with 40 per cent, followed by Greater Noida and Faridabad with 23 per cent each.

Property prices in prominent micro markets in NCR remained, more or less, stable during the year 2014 with only a few localities showing marginal increase and few showing downward trend. This was largely due to the overall slowdown witnessed across the country since 2013. However, post general elections in the second quarter, sentiments started getting positive and marginal changes were also recorded in property prices.
Out of the total projects launched in NCR in 2014, about 50 per cent project had affordable units (<60 lakh) and 22 per cent had units in mid-segment category (60 lakh-1 crore). New supply in luxury ( 1-1.7crore) and ultra-luxury segment (1.7crore onwards) comprised of 14 per cent each.
In whole of NCR, Gurgaon, as expected, comprised 60 per cent of project in ultra-luxury segment. This was followed by Noida with 23 per cent.
Maximum projects in the affordable segment was seen in Greater Noida with 37 per cent, followed by Ghaziabad with 18 per cent and Bhiwadi with 17 per cent. Interestingly, Gurgaon also recorded about 11 per cent supply in the affordable segment, which is mainly the result of ‘Housing for All’ vision.
For mid-segment properties as well Greater Noida topped the chart with about 28 per cent. Gurgaon and Noida also witnessed about 26 and 22 per cent supply in the said segment, which was followed by Ghaziabad with 12 per cent.
For luxury segment, Gurgaon topped the chart with a whopping 47 per cent. Noida and Greater Noida also witnessed about 27 and 18 per cent supply in the said segment, which was followed by Ghaziabad with 4 per cent.
